How we do research
- 01Stated method
Every study opens with what was measured, over what period, and how the sample was drawn. If a figure cannot be sourced, it is not published.
- 02Attributable sources
Third-party data is linked to its origin in the body of the piece, and every claim carries the date it was made.
- 03Separated from commercial work
Sponsored content is labelled as sponsored at the top of the page. Research is never commissioned by a vendor covered in it. See our accuracy standard.
- 04Not financial advice
We report on technology, markets and regulation. Nothing here is investment, financial, legal or tax advice — see the full statement.
What we commission
Pitch an idea →- 01The infrastructure explainer
How a piece of financial plumbing actually works, and what breaks when it fails.

- 03The category map
Who competes, how the models differ, which institution size each serves.
- 04The finance benchmark
Original data on payments, close cycles or finance tooling.
- 05The funding and moves brief
Rounds, acquisitions and leadership changes across financial technology.
